Bunratty

We arrived at Bunratty after leaving the Cliffs of Moher on Sunday, 12 June 2005...

Bunratty was our last night...and old Castle and Folk Park with Durty Nellys Pub next door.

\

We were ready to celebrate a great trip  A guy at Durty Nellys wanted to teach Jean Keenan how to play the spoons.

As we checked into the hotel at Bunratty, Kristy wasn't completely sure of the view...

...while Joe Dols went exploring to find a throne...

We had a Farm Dinner and Dance in the Folk Park...here waiting for our final Dinner.

Mary Tusha and Jeff Downey smile for the camera.

Mike Downey worked to develop and appetite.

Greg and Tim were hungry and ready to dance.

People watched as Mary tried to get her family together for pictures...

Mary finally got it done.

Pete and Diana's family was a little simpler.

Jean Keenan had her picture with daughter, Mary Tusha.

...and with Kristy Mitroka.

They served us some wine while we waited inside...Tim Dols and Katie Downey were really happy with this step.

...Brian was ready to party too...

Finally we got in for Dinner...Table 1 were really happy.

Table 2...a little more serious

Table 3

...and Katie was still happy with Brendan Tusha joining in.

Table4 had some of the hard core troublemakers.

Mike Downey helped with Aidan Stone.

Duane and Mary helped with Connor.

...which put a smile on the face of Mom and Dad...Melody and Aaron

Anne Dols and Mary Tusha told secrets while Joe Dols listened in...

...then they posed for a picture.

The Storyteller was the Master of Ceremonies...

We ...with Irish music during dinner...

...

...along with a fiddler...and Dancers.

and a singer...

We had an Irish Tradition of the Ring in the Bread...signifying the next to be married...one per table.

Aaron Stone got one and gave it to Melody...but they really didn't need it with 3 kids already...

Anna Downey got one while Katie looked on...

Diana Stone got a ring while Christine Downey looked on.

Michele Downey and Greg Downey both got one...2 at one table.  Greg, you're too young...

Jamie Skipworth was ready with her camera, hoping that Matt Downey or daughter Kristy Mitroka would get one...no luck.

We had some Dancing with the Irish National Champion there...who also played the Irish Drum..

...joined by some female Dancers.  We never did learned this dancing at our Dundrum Craic...Orla said it takes years...

We later sang "Wild Rover"... Pete Downey taught Mary Rose the fine art of table pounding to the Chorus.

..and Mary won a CD as an award...on her first time out on "Wild Rover."

This was followed by the highlight of the evening...Tim Dols and Mike Downey demonstrating the dancing that we learned at the Dundrum Reunion Craic...

They did a dance...Jo Downey caught it all on Video..Bunratty-FarmDinnerDance.mov- 4.4 Meg...Quicktime format.

Jean Keenan was amazed, and Ed Downey didn't know that his brother was so talented.

The Dancers changed to their "Book of Kells" costumes...

These were really bright and colorful.

The Dancers changed once again to "Riverdance Costumes"

After Dinner, Greg and Tim had their picture taken with the dark-haired dancer.

After dinner and entertainment, it was time for a little more fellowship at the pub...

Dave Stone and Brian Downey tried to pick up a girl at Durty Nelly's...

...as usual, Katie continued to have a good time as she rescued Dave for his own good...

...while Jamie, Mary, Anne, and Jo posed for a last night's picture.

Jean continued in her party-going ways...

As Durty Nelly's got more crowded, many of us then gathered at the Pub next to Hotel...where Mary continued Jean's tradition.

...as Anna, Anne, Theresa, and Diana toasted her new hat.

A good time was had by all on our last night in Ireland...as we walked back to our hotel for the night
